Michael Murphy

Michael Murphy Michael Murphy has been with Anheuser-Busch for 22 years working at the company’s breweries in Houston, Fort Collins, Jacksonville, Fla., Cartersville and Williamsburg, Va. Murphy also worked in Corporate Operations in St. Louis. He served as senior assistant plant manager for the Williamsburg brewery until he was named senior plant manager for the Cartersville brewery in November 2007.

Murphy graduated from Tuskegee Institute in 1978 and worked for International Harvester, Johnson & Johnson and Pepsi-Cola before joining Anheuser-Busch in 1985.

Murphy and his wife Patricia have two children. He enjoys reading, working out, music, playing golf and hunting.


Resident Brewmaster
Angelo B. Cayo

Angelo B. Cayo Angelo Cayo has been with Anheuser-Busch for more than 24 years. He started his career at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Tampa, Fla. He held various positions in brewing in Tampa and St. Louis until he was named assistant brewmaster for the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Fairfield, Calif., in 1989. In 1994, he took a corporate brewing position in St. Louis and was named staff brewmaster for International Brewing shortly thereafter.

In 1995, he was named senior assistant brewmaster at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Houston, and in 1999, he returned to Fairfield and served as resident brewmaster for four years. In January 2003 he was named senior resident brewmaster at the Cartersville brewery.

Angelo has been involved in the development of several Anheuser-Busch specialty beers, including Bare Knuckle Stout, Michelob Porter and Pacific Ridge Ale. He also developed the recipe for Michelob Marzen, which won a gold medal in 2005 and silver medal in 2006 in the German style marzen/Oktoberfest category at the Great American Beer Festival.

Angelo was born in Cuba and raised in Lakeland, Fla. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of South Florida. Angelo enjoys boating and deep-sea fishing. He and his wife have two children.
